Assessment and Treatment of Children with Concerning Sexual Behaviour

Assessment and Treatment of Children with Concerning Sexual Behaviour

Description: This training will provide an overview of the process and clinical strategies involved in conducting a comprehensive assessment of children demonstrating concerning sexual behaviours. An introduction to treatment issues will also be provided, inclusive of considerations in developing a treatment plan. Current best practices will be discussed and case examples will be used to illustrate strategies, generate discussion, and involve participants. Additionally, the roles of multiple systems/multidisciplinary professionals in assessment and treatment will be addressed. This training will involve both presentation and interactive, small-group discussion.
